Job summary

Brook + Whittle seeks a visionary Senior Director of EHS to shape and drive an enterprise-wide safety and environmental program. You will align EHS with business goals, regulatory requirements, and sustainability strategies across all facilities.

You will lead site teams, set enterprise metrics, and foster a proactive safety culture while mentoring talent and partnering with senior leadership on strategic initiatives. Extensive travel to sites is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive EHS experience with leadership in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven success leading multi-site or enterprise EHS programs.
• OSHA 30 certification required; additional certifications a plus.
• Deep knowledge of OSHA, EPA regulations, risk management, and regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead the company-wide EHS strategy aligned with regulatory requirements and Brook + Whittle's values.
• Provide strategic oversight to site-level EHS teams for consistent execution and improvement.
• Establish enterprise safety performance metrics and drive accountability and data-informed decisions.
• Champion safety ownership and engagement across leadership and staff.
• Lead enterprise incident management, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Oversee OSHA, EPA, and DOT compliance programs; ensure audit readiness and timely closures of findings.
• Collaborate with leaders to assess EHS impacts of initiatives and capital projects.
• Guide sustainability initiatives, including waste reduction and energy efficiency.
• Mentor and develop EHS talent and maintain a high-performing team culture.
• Stay ahead of industry trends and incorporate best practices into programs.
• Deliver EH&S training and manage documentation and permitting.
