Job summary

The Stellarus Chief Information Officer oversees technology strategy, engineering, and operations in partnership with Blue Shield of California, delivering reliable, secure, and scalable services that enable growth and operational excellence.

You will lead engineering managers and cross-functional teams to ensure delivery, production stability, and modernization, partnering with Product, Architecture, Security, and business leaders under a hybrid in-office model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of additional relevant experience in lieu of a degree
• 10 years of prior relevant experience in software engineering, technology operations and management, or related technology roles
• 6 years of prior people management experience with direct responsibility for supervising, coaching, and evaluating direct reports
• Experience leading engineering teams, domains, or portfolios with accountability for delivery, people leadership, and operational outcomes
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional execution and partner with Product, Architecture, Security, Platform, and business stakeholders
• Strong communication skills to translate technical concepts for senior audiences
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field preferred
