Job summary

The Stellarus Chief Information Officer is responsible for overseeing corporate technology strategy, engineering, and operations that support the partnership with Blue Shield of California.

The organization drives operational excellence, strategic alignment, and the successful delivery of technology solutions that enable business growth, improve operational efficiency, and ensure secure, scalable, reliable, and high-performing technology services.

Qualifications

• > Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field; 4 years of additional experience in lieu of a degree.
• > 10 years in software engineering/technology operations and management.
• > 6 years of people management with direct reports.
• > Proven ownership of production systems end-to-end and reliability improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering delivery across multiple teams, domains, or portfolios.
• Own production systems end-to-end, resolving technical debt and improving reliability.
• Partner with Product, Architecture, Security, Infrastructure, and business leaders to improve execution and outcomes.
• Balance strategic leadership with execution, focusing on delivery, team development, quality, and risk management.
