Bank of America is seeking a Senior Operations Analyst/Consultant to join the AMI organization and lead the Enterprise Analytics Transformation. Responsibilities

• As a Senior Operations Analyst/Consultant, establish and own the operating model for AMI.
• Design scalable operating model for AMI tools and platforms, incl. Starburst.
• Provide strategic influence to drive data product development and consumption.
• Maintain applications/tools in compliance with external regs and internal mandates.
• Ensure risk, security and compliance requirements are met on time.
• Monitor health, perform vulnerability remediation, upgrades and enhancements.
• Coordinate with service providers to ensure stability and SLA adherence.
• Oversee QA, access controls and control design.
• Conduct monitoring, testing, and results reporting.
• Own issue remediation, trends, test-script updates and automation opportunities.
• Support regulatory exams, audits, and necessary reporting.
• Track risk and security activities and assist with risk assessments.

Through the Enterprise Analytics Transformation program, AMI is establishing a governed enterprise data product operating model that delivers trusted, reusable, and semantically consistent data to accelerate analytics, business intelligence, and AI across the organization. By aligning common standards for data products and context layer (and semantics) with unified data access, platform capabilities, and AI-enabled tools, this program will accelerate innovation, improve the speed and confidence of insights, simplify the data ecosystem, and reduce redundant data assets and legacy data marts. Together, these capabilities will strengthen risk management, fuel Responsible Growth, and enhance our competitive position.

ROLE/JOB DESCRIPTION

The AMI organization is in search of a motivated and innovative Senior Operations Analyst/Consultant to join our efforts in driving Enterprise Analytics Transformation. This role will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a robust operating model to advance our capabilities, modernize our engagement practices, and enable governed Enterprise data product development, certification, and publishing. This operating model will cover the necessary processes, standards, infrastructure & tools (technology), organizational design, and governance needed to drive responsible data product access, consumption, and management. In addition, this role will be responsible for owning application and tools health practices and quality and control measures needed to ensure stability, reliability, and performance.

This role will serve as a key influencer and decision-maker, partnering with executive stakeholders to align governance, risk, and operational strategies with enterprise objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Senior Operations Analyst/Consultant for the Enterprise Analytics Transformation program, this role will establish, implement, and own the operational tasks necessary to maintain a sustainable operating model, apply tools monitoring practices, and ensure standard quality and controls. They will be responsible for:

OPERATING MODEL DESIGN

• Scalable model: Designing and delivering a scalable operating model for managing AMI’s core tools and platforms, including but not limited to Starburst
• Strategic influence: Providing thought leadership to drive strategic objectives and influence a more effective model for data product development and consumption

APPLICATION & TOOLS HEALTH

• Product ownership: Being responsible for maintaining applications and tools in compliance with external regulation and Bank internal mandates, including but not limited to access control and entitlements
• Product compliance: Risk, security, and compliance requirements are completed on time for supported applications
• Health checks: Monitoring and maintaining infrastructure health and performance, including vulnerability remediation, software upgrades and other enhancements
• Partner engagement: Managing and coordinating activities with service providers and partners to ensure environmental stability, compliance, and SLA adherence

QUALITY & CONTROLS

• Control environment: Overseeing risk/control design, implementing access controls, and establishing QA practices
• Monitoring and testing: Performing control testing, quality inspections, case execution, and results reporting
• Issue remediation and improvement: Owning issue identification, remediation, thematic trends, test-script updates, coaching, automation, and AI opportunities
• Audit and governance support: Assisting with regulatory exams, audits, evidence, metrics, and necessary report-outs
• Risk & security compliance: Track and support development team security and risk activities, including but not limited to application risk assessments

• Product release management: Experience maintaining application inventory, lifecycle documentation, version control, and compliance records.

DESIRED SKILLS

• Technical concepts: Experience supporting technical, data analytics, modeling, or data-platform teams and translating complex concepts for non-subject-matter-expert audiences.
• Data engineering & platforms: Experience with data and data platforms, including familiarity with cloud computing, machine learning, statistics, data science, BI, or AI-enabled capabilities.
• Data concepts: Demonstrated understanding of relational and non-relational database concepts, including data modeling, query optimization, and secure data management
• Storytelling: Adequate PowerPoint and Microsoft Office skills, with the ability to create clear executive-ready materials and messaging.
• Risk discipline: Familiarity with risk frameworks, Single Process Inventory (SPI), and IT governance models; ability to prepare documentation and evidence for internal/external audit review
