Job summary

Bank of America’s AMI organization seeks a Senior Operations Analyst/Consultant to lead the Enterprise Analytics Transformation. You will design and maintain a robust operating model, drive governance, and enable governed data product development and publishing.

In this role you’ll own tools health, compliance, and risk practices, partner with executives to align governance with enterprise objectives, and guide improvements across data platforms and analytics ecosystems.

Qualifications

• Security frameworks: Demonstrated experience identifying and mitigating compliance risks related to data privacy, security, and operational processes; familiarity with vulnerability management, and remediation techniques.
• Application architecture/integration: Ability to translate technical requirements into business language for non-technical stakeholders; understanding of application architecture and integration points
• Business outcome development: Ability to align application functionality with organizational goals and compliance requirements.
• Product release management: Experience maintaining application inventory, lifecycle documentation, version control, and compliance records.
• Technical concepts: Experience supporting technical, data analytics, modeling, or data-platform teams and translating complex concepts for non-subject-matter-expert audiences.
• Data engineering & platforms: Experience with data and data platforms, including familiarity with cloud computing, machine learning, statistics, data science, BI, or AI-enabled capabilities.
• Data concepts: Demonstrated understanding of relational and non-relational database concepts, including data modeling, query optimization, and secure data management
• Storytelling: Adequate PowerPoint and Microsoft Office skills, with the ability to create clear executive-ready materials and messaging.
• Risk discipline: Familiarity with risk frameworks, Single Process Inventory (SPI), and IT governance models; ability to prepare documentation and evidence for internal/external audit review

Responsibilities

• Establish and own scalable operating model for AMI’s core tools and Starburst.
• Influence strategy to improve data product development and consumption.
• Maintain applications in compliance with external regulation and Bank internal mandates.
• Ensure access controls and entitlements are managed.
• Conduct health checks, upgrades, and vulnerability remediation.
• Coordinate with service providers to ensure environmental stability, compliance, and SLA adherence.
• Oversee risk/control design, QA practices and access controls.
• Perform control testing, quality inspections, and reporting.
• Identify, remediate issues and drive improvements including AI opportunities.
• Support regulatory exams, audits, and evidence collection.
• Monitor security and risk activities with development teams.
• Translate technical topics for executives.
