Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Data Catalog & Lineage Lead in the United States to govern metadata and enable enterprise-wide visibility across data assets.

You will collaborate with Data Governance, Data Quality, Data Engineering, Security, and Business Data Owners to deliver lineage, catalog, and governance capabilities, ensuring data is discoverable, well-described, and compliant across cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years in data management, governance, analytics, or data engineering.
• 3+ years leading metadata, catalog, or lineage initiatives.
• Experience implementing enterprise catalog and lineage solutions on large-scale cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise metadata management, data catalog, and data lineage programs.
• Define standards for metadata and establish governance processes.
• Lead implementation of data catalog platforms and improve data discoverability.
• Define and enforce lineage standards across source systems and pipelines.
• Partner with governance and data owners to ensure compliance and traceability.
