Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a Data Catalog & Lineage Lead to drive enterprise metadata management, data cataloging, and data lineage across the organization.

You will collaborate with Data Governance, Data Quality, Data Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, Analytics, Security, and Business Data Owners to deliver trusted metadata and lineage capabilities. You will serve as the primary steward of metadata strategy, ensuring data assets are discoverable, governed, and traceable throughout

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Management, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in data management, data governance, analytics, data architecture, or engineering.
• 3+ years of experience leading metadata, catalog, or lineage initiatives.
• Proven success implementing enterprise catalog and lineage solutions.
• Experience working with large-scale cloud data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise metadata management, data catalog, and data lineage programs.
• Develop standards for metadata across business, technical, operational, and process metadata.
• Establish governance processes and a roadmap for catalog, lineage, and metadata capabilities.
• Drive adoption of catalog solutions and metadata-driven decision making.
• Ensure data assets are discoverable, governed, and traceable throughout their lifecycle.
