Job summary

ePlus inc. seeks a Sr Data Architect to lead the enterprise data architecture, governance, and data strategy across platforms, analytics, and AI. You will define future-state models, roadmaps, and data standards, partnering with business and technology leaders to ensure trusted data assets.

The role requires deep expertise in data modeling, data governance, and modern patterns (lakehouse, data mesh). You will mentor teams and guide architecture decisions while aligning with enterprise strategy

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in CS/IS/Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in enterprise data architecture, information architecture, data modeling, integration, governance, data warehousing, or cloud data platforms.
• Ownership of enterprise target-state architectures, transition roadmaps, reference patterns, architecture principles, standards, and decision governance.
• Expertise in enterprise conceptual and logical modeling, canonical and domain models, master and reference data.
• Knowledge of data patterns: lakehouse, data mesh, medallion, governed data products, semantic layers, APIs, events.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Purview, Azure data services to drive enterprise direction.

Responsibilities

• Own enterprise data architecture across domains and platforms.
• Define target-state architecture and roadmaps for multiple programs.
• Establish enterprise data domains, source principles, and governance.
• Develop and govern enterprise data models; guide physical implementations.
• Define patterns for data products, contracts, metadata, lineage, privacy, security.
• Provide leadership for ERP, analytics, and AI data initiatives.
• Partner with data owners and governance to translate capabilities into architecture.
• Lead cross-domain architecture reviews and manage risks.
• Define criteria for trusted data and reusable data products.
• Advise on Microsoft Purview adoption and governance.
• Set integration and pipeline patterns including CI/CD and observability.
• Maintain enterprise data principles and roadmaps.
