Qualifications

• Public trust or higher clearance as required.
• Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems or related field.
• 8+ years in data architecture, data engineering, or enterprise information architecture.
• Experience designing conceptual, logical, and physical data models for analytics/ transactional apps.
• Proficiency with lakehouse, data warehouse, data mesh, streaming architectures, and multi-clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Hands-on modeling and metadata tools (ERWin, ER/Studio, dbt, Collibra, Alation, Atlan).
• Knowledge of data governance, lineage, metadata, data quality, and Zero Trust principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Data Architects and Data Engineers to design conceptual, logical, and physical data models supporting analytics, AI/ML, and enterprise integration.
• Develop and maintain canonical data models, semantic layers, metadata structures, and domain schemas.
• Guide adoption of lakehouse, data mesh, data fabric, domain-driven design, and event-driven integration.
• Set standards for data modeling, schema evolution, and data contracts across teams.
• Partner with Data Eng, MLOps/LLMOps, and AI teams to support scalable pipelines and ML workloads.
• Conduct architecture reviews ensuring alignment with reference architectures and security principles.
• Lead cross-platform integration strategy including APIs, streaming, CDC, virtualization, and metadata automation.
• Translate stakeholder requirements into well-designed data structures for workflows and decisions.
• Mentor architects and engineers to grow architectural thinking and decision-making.
