Job summary

Coalition is hiring an experienced underwriter to drive profitable business with assigned brokers and partner closely with our Sales organization. You will underwrite and manage products across Coalition’s portfolio, including the enterprise segment, while serving as a trusted partner to brokers and clients.

This remote role can be based anywhere in the Northeast with a preference for NYC, Boston, or Philly.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of underwriting or related experience in cyber, technology E&O, or complex specialty risks for large enterprise businesses (~$1B+ revenue).
• Ability to analyze underwriting and pricing risks independently and explain decisions.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-management skills in a broker-distributed environment.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal accounts within authority, including enterprise segment (~$1B+ revenue).
• Build and deepen relationships with cyber specialists and brokers; act as trusted underwriting partner.
• Maintain underwriting files, documentation, and use internal tools per governance.
• Participate in broker/client meetings, present and explain underwriting rationale.
• Handle non-standard issues, adjust coverage and wording, escalate when needed.
• Collaborate with Coalition’s security team to bring technical insights into decisions.
• Provide feedback to improve underwriting guidelines and processes.
• Travel regularly for broker relations and market development.
