Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is hiring Solutions Architects to design scalable cloud architectures for enterprise customers in the Dallas area. You will collaborate with AWS Sales and other teams to craft tailored cloud solutions that meet business needs and drive adoption.

As a trusted advisor, you will lead architecture discussions, publish technical guidance, and help customers migrate workloads to AWS while delivering high-value outcomes with a strong emphasis on security, reliability, and cost

Qualifications

• 2+ years in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
• 4+ years in technology domains (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
• 6+ years in IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with business and technical stakeholders as a trusted advisor.
• Lead deep architectural discussions to create world-class solutions on AWS.
• Author and contribute to AWS customer-facing publications such as whitepapers and POCs.
• In partnership with the sales team, formulate and execute a sales strategy to exceed revenue objectives through AWS adoption.
• Build deep relationships with business and senior technical individuals to enable cloud advocacy.
• Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS solutions architect community.
• Travel is mostly regional, and is expected to be 15-20%.
