Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Principal Cloud Engineer to join the Enterprise Cloud Migration team.

This role provides technical leadership for enterprise-scale cloud migration initiatives and partners with application teams, cloud platform teams, security, and operations to define migration solutions and ensure successful delivery into the enterprise AWS environment. The position focuses on driving cloud adoption, modernization, and engineering excellence while maintaining alignment with business

Qualifications

• Ten or more years of relevant experience in cloud engineering or related roles.
• Proven ability to lead enterprise cloud migration and solutioning initiatives across AWS or other public cloud platforms.
• Strong understanding of application architecture, cloud migration patterns, scalability, resiliency, security, and operational readiness.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for enterprise-scale cloud migration initiatives.
• Define migration solutions and ensure successful delivery of applications into the enterprise AWS environment.
• Coach teams on engineering best practices and incident response; lead cross-functional collaboration.
• Define engineering delivery processes and governance to ensure on-time, on-budget migrations.
• Promote security-first principles and align technology decisions with enterprise standards.
• Drive testing strategy and measure quality to improve delivery outcomes.
