Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect for the Worldwide Public Sector to help customers migrate and modernize workloads on AWS.

You will work with enterprise account teams, customers and partners to design target architectures and migration plans, focusing on business drivers and technical realities. You will collaborate with teams across AWS, mentor others, and travel up to 30% as needed.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in technology domains such as cloud computing or software development.
• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
• 10+ years IT development or implementation/consulting in software or Internet industries.

Responsibilities

• Creating, articulating, and positioning an innovative value proposition for migrating to AWS.
• Defining and executing technical migration strategies with AWS teams.
• Delivering modern architectures such as microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Engaging with development, infrastructure, security and IT operations teams to identify patterns for cloud migration.
• Driving co-development of new go-to-market approaches and opportunities.
• Identifying platform improvements and influencing future iterations of the AWS platform.
• Working as part of a cross-functional team to identify, develop, and close deals.
• Engaging with C-level executives to define and execute enterprise cloud migration strategies.
