Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is hiring a Senior Solutions Architect in the United States (Denver area) to drive migrations and modernization for public sector and enterprise customers.

You will design target architectures, assess current workloads, and create migration plans in collaboration with enterprise account teams and partners. The role focuses on migrating and modernizing applications, including large-scale data center migrations, Oracle, Mainframe, and bespoke refactoring, while mentoring

Qualifications

• 8+ years of technology domain experience (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in software or Internet industries.

Responsibilities

• Create and articulate a compelling value proposition to show customers the benefits of migrating to AWS.
• Define and execute technical migration strategies with AWS teams and partners.
• Deliver modern cloud architectures (microservices, event-driven) using managed services and cloud-native tools.
• Collaborate with customer IT teams to identify patterns and architectures for migration.
• Co-develop new go-to-market approaches with the Geo business lead.
