U.S. Bank is seeking a Principal Cloud Engineer to join our Enterprise Cloud Migration team. You will provide technical leadership for enterprise-scale cloud migration initiatives and partner with application teams, cloud platform teams, and security to define migration solutions in the enterprise AWS environment.

The role drives cloud adoption, modernization, engineering excellence, and scalable delivery practices while aligning technology decisions with business objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Ten or more years of relevant cloud engineering experience.
• Experience leading enterprise cloud migration initiatives across AWS or other public clouds.
• Strong understanding of architecture, migration patterns, scalability, security, and operational readiness.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides high-level architectural guidance and assists teams in aligning architecture to business requirements.
• Promotes the use of relevant design patterns and guides teams in preparing for future business and technology needs.
• Drives migration discovery and solutioning activities, evaluating application architectures, migration patterns, and risks.
• Leads incident response and establishes tools and processes to improve operational effectiveness.
• Ensures alignment with enterprise security and compliance standards throughout migration.
