Job summary

HDR seeks a Client Experience Director to lead the enterprise CX strategy, strengthening client relationships and delivering measurable outcomes. You will drive the client feedback system, align cross-functional teams, and advance a client-centric culture across HDR.

You will partner with operations, marketing, delivery, and business development to translate insights into strategic actions and improve client loyalty. This is an in-office role across HDR locations in the US.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive experience in the A/E/C industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, organizational leadership, engineering, architecture, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Experience leading large cross-functional strategic programs across complex organizations.
• Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and executive communication skills.
• Ability to translate client, market, and organizational insights into strategic and operational improvements.
• Ability to work in a globally matrixed firm with dispersed teams; strong relationship-building skills.
• Experience analyzing qualitative and quantitative data to drive performance improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead HDR’s enterprise-wide client experience program, defining vision, strategy, governance, and implementation.
• Serve as enterprise advocate for Voice of the Client; incorporate client perspectives into decisions.
• Oversee client feedback system, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement across the enterprise.
• Coach leaders on client feedback, relationship strategies, and action plans; celebrate CX successes.
