Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Enterprise Business Development Manager - Financial Services based in the United States. Join a remote-first sales team focused on helping enterprise organizations navigate complex governance, risk, and compliance challenges through innovative software solutions. As an Enterprise Business Development Manager, you will drive new business growth by identifying strategic opportunities, building relationships with senior decision-makers, and positioning integrated risk management solutions to meet evolving customer needs. This role is designed for an experienced sales professional with a strong hunter mentality and a proven record of closing high-value enterprise SaaS deals. You will manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and qualification to negotiation and contract execution, while collaborating with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience. You will also contribute market insights, develop industry relationships, and help shape sales strategies across your territory. The position offers a remote working environment with domestic travel to support client meetings and industry events.

Accountabilities
  • Achieve quarterly and annual sales targets for governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) software and related services, with a focus on acquiring new enterprise customers in the financial services sector.
  • Lead a consultative, research-driven sales process from prospecting and opportunity qualification through evaluation, technical review, proposal development, negotiation, and contract closure.
  • Identify and engage target accounts, build a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities, and convert prospects into long-term customer relationships.
  • Deliver compelling executive presentations and product demonstrations that communicate business value, solution differentiation, and strategic partnership opportunities.
  • Manage requests for information (RFIs) and requests for proposals (RFPs) for qualified prospects, coordinating timely and effective responses with relevant internal teams.
  • Maintain accurate account records, opportunity details, pipeline updates, and monthly sales forecasts using Salesforce or comparable CRM tools.
  • Collaborate closely with presales, product management, professional services, and customer support teams to facilitate successful implementations, smooth handoffs, and ongoing customer satisfaction.
  • Build strong relationships with existing customers, identify cross-selling opportunities, and support account growth through continued engagement.
  • Represent the organization at industry conferences, networking events, and relevant professional groups to generate referrals, strengthen market credibility, and develop new business opportunities.
  • Monitor market developments, customer needs, competitive activity, and industry trends, sharing actionable insights with sales leadership.
  • Manage a home-based work environment effectively while traveling approximately 10-50% of the time for client meetings and industry events, with occasional visits to US offices.
Requirements
  • 5-10+ years of demonstrated success in software or services sales, particularly in new-business development and enterprise sales within the financial services sector.
  • Proven experience selling multi-year, subscription-based SaaS solutions, ideally involving enterprise contracts worth approximately $150,000-$400,000+ in annual recurring revenue (ARR) and sales cycles of 6-12 months.
  • A strong track record of prospecting, qualifying opportunities, acquiring new customers, and closing complex, high-value enterprise deals.
  • Excellent consultative selling, negotiation, pipeline management, and strategic account development skills.
  • Confidence and credibility when presenting to senior executives, with strong business acumen and the ability to connect software capabilities to customer priorities and measurable business outcomes.
  • Ability to explain and demonstrate enterprise software solutions and communicate their value to different stakeholders throughout the buying process.
  • Familiarity with governance, risk, compliance, business ethics, or related enterprise risk management challenges is a significant advantage.
  • Experience using Salesforce or another customer relationship management (CRM) platform, Microsoft Office 365, and remote collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams.
  • Strong communication, presentation, relationship-building, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Self-motivation, resilience, organization, and the ability to work independently in a remote-first environment while managing a demanding sales pipeline.
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university is preferred but not required.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 10-50% for customer engagements and industry events, with occasional domestic office visits.
Benefits
  • Base salary: $110,000-$125,000 per year, depending on experience, skills, and location.
  • Performance-based compensation: Additional bonus and commission opportunities.
  • Remote-first work environment: Flexibility to work remotely while collaborating with a distributed team.
