Reporting to the Director, US Enterprise Sales and Account Management, this full-time, permanent position is based in Seattle and covers the region, allowing you to make a significant impact on our Commercial department’s growth. We seek candidates with experience specifically in the HR/Tax/Payroll/Accountancy/Finance space.

Purpose of Role

The Corporate-aligned Enterprise Business Developer (EBD) / Sales Director is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with target high-value accounts. The EBD will serve as the primary contact for customers, focusing on initial sales initiatives and near-term expansion opportunities to achieve individual, team, and company goals.

Scope

This role involves winning new global business in the Seattle area. It is part of a team of 6-8 colleagues within the United States. The role collaborates with the Corporate Market Development Representative to act on leads, with the Corporate Enterprise Account Manager to hand over established clients, and with the Subject Matter Expert to maximize expansion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and secure high-value prospects to expand Vistra’s customer base and market share
  • Meet annual ACV targets
  • Nurture leads and develop relationships with new business accounts
  • Create and execute strategic plans for prospects to meet and exceed sales targets
  • Understand customer needs and apply product and market knowledge to sell solutions
  • Ensure smooth transitions of leads from Marketing Development Reps, providing feedback to improve pipelines
  • Leverage Subject Matter Experts for technical expertise during sales
  • Collaborate with EAM and SME to negotiate and close new business, ensuring seamless account transitions
  • Coordinate with the Onboarding team to provide excellent post-sale service
Skills and Attributes
  • Established network and client relationships in the HR/Payroll/Tax/Accountancy/Finance industries
  • Entrepreneurial, solution-oriented, with strong skills in designing and pricing solutions
  • Proven success in a sales/business development role
  • Strong market knowledge across US corporate, tech, and VC sectors
  • Team player with the ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Proactive, self-motivated, ambitious, energetic, and driven
Experience and Qualifications
  • Minimum of 7 years in Business Development within HR/Payroll/Tax/Accountancy/Finance industries
  • Ability to identify, prospect, and convert new revenue
  • Bachelor’s degree, MBA, or validated industry network with at least 7 years of relevant selling experience
  • Desirable: accounting, HR, legal, or company secretarial qualifications
