Business Development Director – UKG

Location: Anywhere in the continental USA

RSM is seeking a dynamic Business Development Director to join our growing team. This role focuses on selling business application solutions supporting our Human Capital Solutions Consulting Service Line, especially UKG.

The Business Development Director will lead all aspects of the sales process, including prospect targeting, developing sales strategies, assembling pursuit teams, and managing the entire sales cycle. Responsibilities include building sales pipelines, preparing proposals, closing sales, and working closely with industry and line of business leaders to drive growth through prospecting, networking, and participation in industry groups.

This position offers a competitive base salary plus a lucrative, uncapped incentive plan. We seek candidates with a proven track record in selling UKG solutions.

Responsibilities:
  1. Sourcing and qualifying HCM opportunities with untapped companies.
  2. Executing the sales plan, coordinating internal and external resources.
  3. Demonstrating UKG solutions.
  4. Networking and industry involvement.
  5. Targeting key companies with industry leaders.
  6. Supporting cross-selling of services.
  7. Engaging with UKG sales and partner teams to co-manage opportunities.
  8. Managing implementation requests and referrals.
  9. Collaborating on system selection projects.
  10. Co-selling RSM services with vendors.
  11. Educating prospects on RSM’s value-added services.
  12. Creating Statements of Work (SOW).
  13. Following up on sales activities and maintaining CRM daily.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Active C-level network.
  • Community involvement and industry activity.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • 5+ years selling ERP, HCM, or CRM solutions.
  • 2+ years selling UKG and/or implementation services.
  • Experience with multiple industries and middle market companies ($20M–$1B).
  • Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles.
  • CRM proficiency and social media networking experience.
  • Excellent negotiation and executive presence.
  • Self-motivated with strong time management skills.
  • Travel required.
