Job summary

UC San Diego Health is seeking an experienced and collaborative Enterprise Bed Flow Nurse to join our 24/7 Mission Control. This role coordinates bed placement across locations, optimizes patient throughput, and supports seamless care transitions.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Nursing, active California RN license, and 4+ years inpatient RN experience, with BART or BLS certification. You will collaborate with unit charge nurses and guidance from leadership to reduce delays and

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and California RN license.
Current UCSD BART or BLS certification or commitment to obtain BART within six months.
Four (4+) or more years of inpatient RN experience.
Demonstrated ability to communicate with physicians, nurse leaders, and administrative leaders.

Responsibilities

Coordinate patient placement across UCSDH locations according to clinical needs.
Lead daily bed meetings and oversee bed tracking dashboards for real-time accuracy.
Monitor discharge delays and address barriers to timely patient throughput.
Facilitate safe transitions of care and interfacility transfer requests.
Collaborate with Mission Control, Bed Management, EDs, and inpatient units to optimize flow.
