Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company, seeks an AWS Identity Engineer to provide technical leadership for a large-scale identity and access management migration across an enterprise cloud environment.

You will standardize identity services across AWS accounts, consolidate legacy providers into a unified enterprise platform, and strengthen secure, consistent access for users, applications, and service accounts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• At least 12 years of progressive IT experience, including 5+ years of cloud engineering and at least 3 years IAM in enterprise-scale environments.
• Professional-level cloud certification in AWS, Azure, OCI, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Expert-level experience with AWS Identity and Access Management, cloud account access controls, identity federation, security groups.
• Deep technical knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, LDAP, domain consolidation and migration, Group Policy Objects, and identity integration.
• Demonstrated experience planning and executing complex migrations with validation testing and cutover management.
• At least 5 years of experience administering Windows and Linux operating systems in engineering/support roles.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical execution of an enterprise AWS identity standardization initiative.
• Design and consolidate multiple legacy identity providers into a single enterprise platform.
• Plan and manage AD and domain migration for Windows and Linux EC2 instances.
• Map, migrate, and validate users, groups, roles, and service accounts across ~20 cloud accounts.
• Oversee AWS WorkSpaces rebuilds and migrations with alignment to the target identity provider.
• Configure and maintain Group Policy Objects for WorkSpaces and EC2 in collaboration with teams.
• Develop migration runbooks, cutover plans, rollback procedures, and post-cutover support processes.
• Provide technical leadership and cross-functional coordination throughout migration lifecycle.
