About the Role
We\'re hiring an Enterprise Architecture Manager to lead a team of IT Architects while staying directly involved in our most strategic application, software, integration, and technology decisions. This is a highly visible leadership role — roughly a 50/50 split between managing the Architecture team and serving as a hands-on architect on major initiatives that will shape our technology landscape for years to come.
We\'re looking for someone with a strong software, applications, and solution architecture background — ideally someone who has built software or designed complex systems earlier in their career and still maintains real technical depth. Our architects need someone they view as a credible sounding board and technical leader, not just a manager.
What You\'ll Do
- Lead, coach, develop, and retain a high-performing team of IT Architects
- Set goals for the Architecture team aligned to technology roadmaps and organizational priorities
- Own and advance the Enterprise Architecture practice — standards, governance, reference architectures, and roadmaps
- Maintain and evolve our North Star Architecture to support long-term strategy
- Lead the Architecture Review Board and facilitate enterprise technology decisions
- Serve as senior architectural advisor on our most complex software, application, integration, and digital transformation initiatives
- Partner with business and technology leaders to define future-state capabilities and multi-year roadmaps
- Lead build-vs-buy evaluations, vendor assessments, and platform selection
- Review and influence solution architectures, application designs, integration strategies, and modernization initiatives
- Provide architectural leadership across ERP, CRM, custom applications, integrations, and analytics platforms
- Participate directly in architecture workshops and solution design sessions for high-priority initiatives
- Drive architecture maturity, standardization, and reuse across the enterprise
What You Bring
- 10+ years of progressive IT experience
- 5+ years in Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, Application Architecture, or Software Engineering leadership
- Experience designing or modernizing enterprise software, business applications, and integrations
- Experience leading architects, engineers, or technology teams
- A track record of building technology strategies, roadmaps, and governance processes
- Strong communication and stakeholder skills across technical and non-technical audiences
Nice to Have
- Experience leading an Enterprise Architecture practice or team
- Microsoft technologies, Azure, Dynamics 365, cloud platforms, ERP, integrations, and data platforms
- Experience with build-vs-buy evaluations and technology modernization
- TOGAF, Microsoft, Azure, AWS, or related architecture certifications
- Must be located in the Columbus, Ohio area or willing to relocate at your own expense
- On-site 5 days per week — no remote or hybrid arrangements
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. now and in the future without sponsorship (no visa sponsorship available)
- Interviews conducted in person in Columbus
