Job summary

Steampunk is seeking an Enterprise Architect - Technical Lead to direct technical delivery across data, AI governance, and identity-modernization workstreams for a large federal advisory program, providing enterprise-level architectural guidance within procurement-neutrality boundaries.

You will guide how data, AI governance, and ICAM workstreams divide and execute, promote open formats and APIs, evaluate AI technologies for licensing and risk, and serve as the senior technical voice in client

Qualifications

U.S. government security clearance eligibility.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
12+ years of enterprise architecture experience in federal environments.
Ability to advise without directing vendor/product selection.
Strong knowledge of open data standards and API design.
Experience translating EA patterns into governance standards.
Leadership of multidisciplinary technical teams and stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

Direct how data, AI governance, and ICAM workstreams execute their work.
Recommend enterprise-level architectures, patterns, and governance standards.
Ensure open formats and APIs, avoiding vendor lock-in.
Evaluate AI technologies for licensing and risk to inform governance.
