Job summary

City of Palm Bay seeks an experienced IT professional to coordinate and support Citywide application projects. You will lead the Applications Team, oversee lifecycle management, and ensure secure, reliable delivery of enterprise services across departments.

You will develop roadmaps, manage upgrades and cloud migration plans, and serve as liaison between IT and business units. A strong background in municipal IT and supervisory experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree + 5 years in enterprise application support, systems administration or IT operations.
• Associates degree + 7 years in enterprise application support, systems administration or IT operations.
• High school diploma + 9 years in enterprise application support, systems administration or IT operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the City’s enterprise application portfolio, including configuration, upgrades, security, maintenance, testing, documentation and lifecycle planning.
• Leads planning, coordination and execution of application enhancements, patches, releases, integrations and cross-departmental technology initiatives.
• Develops and maintains multi-year application roadmaps, including modernization, cloud strategies, licensing optimization and legacy retirement planning.
• Plans, organizes and manages application-related projects to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
• Coordinates vendor activities and oversees third-party engagements related to application support and development.
• Establishes and maintains documentation standards for configurations, workflows, data dictionaries and security roles.
