Job summary

Wellmark Blue Cross Blue Shield seeks a Business Initiatives Consultant - Technology and Data (senior level) to drive enterprise AI governance and align AI priorities with business goals. You will lead cross-functional execution, translate strategy into roadmaps, and measure value across the organization.

You will partner with executives, business units, and technology teams to ensure governance, risk management, and investment decisions support outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years managing multiple enterprise projects with medium to high complexity and enterprise-wide scope.
• Proven Business, Strategic Planning, and Project Management experience.
• Ability to develop initiative plans, roadmaps, and manage interdependencies.
• Strong communication with executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Travel up to 5%.
• 7+ years of health insurance or related industry experience including business, strategic planning, project management and process consulting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical designs for highly integrated complex application platforms to optimize security, information leverage and reuse, integration, performance, and availability while adhering to architecture standards.
• Consult with Architects and project teams to create and document design deliverables for application platforms and collaborate on effective technology solutions.
• Oversee planning, developing and estimating of technical solutions and collaborate with other technical teams.
• Collaborate with Architects, business systems analysts, and stakeholders regarding process improvements.
• Consult with business stakeholders regarding technical planning to ensure architectures align with business expectations.
• Oversee, review and provide technical guidance on supported solutions, including vendor evaluations and integrations.
• Support architecture governance standards and provide guidance on IT policies, security and infrastructure.
• Provide training and mentorship regarding technical design and solution implementation.
• Build strong business relationships to ensure designs align with business needs.
• Develop and apply industry best practices and recommend emerging technologies.
• Other duties as assigned.
