Job summary

Vectara is seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to connect customers with the capabilities of our Agent Platform and align solutions to business needs. You will be the technical contact throughout the customer journey, collaborating with Sales, Customer Success, and Professional Services to drive adoption and success.

You will build relationships with technical leaders, respond to RFIs/RFPs, and help customers implement large-scale AI solutions across cloud and on-prem environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Sales Engineering experience in AI/ML/data analytics contexts.
• Experience selling to large enterprises in AI, Data, or IT.
• 2+ years of Professional Services or internal development experience in large enterprises.
• Experience with agentic AI development and integration.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent; MS a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical product expertise and conduct demos, including custom builds.
• Assist customers with architecture, design and development; support POCs.
• Scope and plan Professional Services projects; respond to RFIs/RFPs persuasively.
• Maintain strong relationships with Product, Engineering and ML teams; act as technical face of the company.
• Travel to accounts up to 20%.
