Job summary

Vectara is seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to connect customers with the magic of our product, aligning capabilities to business pain points. You will be the trusted technical contact throughout the customer journey, working with Sales, Customer Success and Professional Services to drive adoption and outcomes.

You will partner with Product, Engineering and ML teams to respond to customer needs, and to ensure offerings meet market requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in sales engineering supporting GTM motions in AI/ML/data/analytics.
• Experience selling technical products to AI, Data, or IT orgs in large enterprises.
• 2+ years of Professional Services or internal development in large enterprises.
• Experience with agentic AI development including context layer to agent harness.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical product expertise to customers and demos.
• Conduct custom-built demos and assist with POCs.
• Assist customers with architecture, design, and development.
• Scope and plan Professional Services projects.
• Respond to RFIs/RFPs with persuasive technical input.
• Maintain executive relationships with customers' product and engineering teams.
