Job summary

Mattel is seeking a senior AI product leader to align organization-wide AI initiatives with strategic business goals in Sacramento. You will lead ideation, architect AI-powered models, and drive adoption across business units, while establishing guardrails for Responsible AI and balancing legal and security considerations.

You will partner with technology leaders to develop scalable AI products and upskill teams through courses and masterclasses, while building relationships with universities

Qualifications

• 10 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 8 years and a Master's degree.
• Master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, or related field/MBA/PhD preferred.
• Experience in building and scaling platforms leveraging Generative and Agentic AI for Enterprises.
• Proven leadership in developing products in a multidisciplinary cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities

• Align and manage organization wide AI product development.
• Measure and communicate business value delivered through AI initiatives.
• Collaborate with Mattel’s business units to understand their needs through ideation sessions and prioritize use cases to adopt AI technologies.
• Lead insight gathering, ideation, and development into AI-powered business models and champion them through senior management and cross-functional teams for approval.
• Establish Responsible AI Principles and guardrails for Mattel by collaborating with industry thought leaders and internal Legal and security teams.
• Work with Technology Leaders and teams to develop AI products and ensure adoption.
• Educate internal teams to upskill on emerging AI technologies via internal courses and masterclasses.
• Develop and maintain relationships with AI practitioners, universities, and industry organizations.
