Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking an AI/ML Engineer to design and deliver enterprise-scale Generative AI solutions. You will be hands-on building AI-powered applications, including LLMs, RAG, and AI agents, with a focus on scalable, secure, and observable systems.

You will collaborate with product managers, software and data engineers, ensuring production-grade ML pipelines and cloud-native architectures across the lifecycle from prototyping to deployment.

Qualifications

• 4-8 years in Software Engineering, ML/AI or related fields preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, Data Science, AI or related discipline; equivalent experience considered.
• Strong proficiency in Python and producing production-grade applications.
• Experience building REST APIs with FastAPI, Flask, or similar frameworks.
• Experience working within Agile and SDLC frameworks.
• Experience using GitHub and CI/CD platforms (GitHub Actions, GitLab, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Harness, etc.).
• Experience containerizing applications with Docker.
• Experience deploying and managing workloads on Kubernetes platforms (GKE, AKS, EKS, OpenShift, etc.).
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as GCP, Azure, or AWS.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver enterprise-scale Generative AI solutions, partnering with product managers and engineers.
• Hands-on development of AI-powered applications including LLMs, RAG, AI Agents, and conversational experiences.
• Transform business problems into scalable AI solutions and production-grade ML systems.
• Ensure solutions are secure, reliable, and measurable, with deployment, monitoring, and governance.
