Job summary

Capital District Physicians Health Plan Inc is seeking an AI Engineer to join a collaborative team developing ML/AI models, including LLMs and generative AI, to improve member health outcomes. You will build data pipelines, work with data engineering, and optimize model deployment in cloud environments.

You will participate in model lifecycle management, stay current with AI trends, and contribute to governance and compliance while mentoring junior engineers and partnering with CI/CD teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; in lieu of a degree, six (6) years of relevant experience required.
• Proven experience developing AI/ML solutions.
• Basic understanding of ML concepts and data manipulation.
• Experience with databases, SQL, and data preprocessing.
• Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI/ML solutions to solve business problems and improve member health outcomes.
• Build data pipelines for feature engineering and model input.
• Collaborate with data engineering to prepare data for training.
• Support model evaluation, testing, and monitoring in pre-production.
• Develop and deploy models on cloud ML platforms (e.g., Databricks).
• Engage in ML Ops/CI-CD practices for deployment and monitoring.
• Mentor teammates and share ML best practices.
