Job summary

Acer is seeking an experienced Field Application Engineer (FAE) to provide technical presales expertise and customer-facing support for its enterprise workstation, server and AI computing portfolio. You will be a key technical liaison between Sales, customers, Product Management, and engineering teams, translating requirements into robust hardware configurations and winning solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, CS, IT, or related field.
• 4+ years in technical presales, FAE, solution architecture, or customer-facing systems engineering.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise workstation and server hardware.
• Translate customer requirements into workstation/server/AI configurations.
• Experience developing proposals, responding to RFPs/RFIs, and delivering presentations.
• Understanding of Windows/Linux environments and enterprise deployments.
• Familiarity with GPU/NPU technologies and AI computing.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Sales to provide technical expertise throughout the enterprise sales cycle.
• Engage customers to assess infrastructure requirements and recommend workstation/server solutions.
• Lead technical presentations, product demonstrations, workshops, and evaluations.
• Serve as a technical advisor on workstation/server hardware, incl. processors, GPUs, memory, storage, and networking.
• Develop technical proposals and lead RFP/RFI responses with hardware specs and configurations.
• Support proof-of-concept evaluations, benchmarking, and technical validation for enterprise/AI computing.
• Provide guidance on GPU-accelerated computing and AI workloads.
• Collaborate with Product Management and global engineering to address requirements and challenges.
• Support product launches with demonstrations, education, and sales enablement.
• Identify opportunities with Sales and Business Management and communicate competitive advantages.
