Job summary

SES Satellites seeks a hands-on Director to lead AI Engineering & Solutions, building a scalable enterprise AI program and platform. You will guide architecture, engineering, governance, and enterprise collaboration to turn AI opportunities into secure, production-ready solutions.

You will lead AI engineers and architects, set standards, promote reusable platforms, and ensure measurable business value while partnering with IT, data, security, and business leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field; advanced degree preferred.
• Extensive experience leading AI engineering teams and platforms.
• Proven ability to translate business problems into scalable AI solutions.
• Experience with production AI, governance, and enterprise-scale delivery.
• Strong knowledge of cloud/AI platforms, especially Microsoft ecosystem.
• Ability to collaborate with executives and stakeholders to drive business value.

Responsibilities

• Lead the enterprise AI Engineering & Solutions function and build a high-performing team of AI engineers and architects.
• Serve as the technical authority for AI, setting standards, patterns, and delivery practices.
• Provide hands-on leadership, develop senior talent, and foster rapid experimentation with disciplined delivery.
• Architect and deliver AI solutions from concept to production and lifecycle management.
• Define and evolve the AI tech stack, maximize Microsoft ecosystem value, and evaluate alternatives.
• Partner with business and technology leaders to identify and realize high-value AI opportunities.
