Job summary

Virtue America is seeking an AI Engineer to design, develop, and test AI-powered solutions for the pharmaceutical sector. You will work across product, design, and engineering to build AI workflows, optimize prompts, and integrate enterprise data into AI-driven apps.

The role emphasizes evaluation, security testing, governance, and responsible AI practices, with opportunities to implement document-based workflows using Claude Desktop and related tools.

Qualifications

• Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, and AI app development.
• Hands-on with AWS AI services and cloud-based AI solutions.
• Strong prompt engineering and LLM evaluation skills.
• Experience designing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines.
• Familiarity with enterprise data integration and document-processing workflows.
• Knowledge of Claude Desktop or similar tools for document analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a structured prompt library for common use cases (summarization, QA, information extraction, code generation, file analysis).
• Apply advanced prompt engineering techniques to improve AI output quality.
• Design and implement RAG pipelines connecting enterprise data sources (WMS, EDI logs, SOPs, contracts).
• Develop, deploy, and optimize LLM-powered applications (internal knowledge assistants, client chat solutions).
• Extend AI-powered response repositories and identify automation opportunities to improve workflows and performance.
• Conduct A/B testing of prompts, evaluate AI responses, and document benchmarks.
• Work with Claude Desktop and similar tools to support document-based workflows (PDFs, Word, spreadsheets, code files).
• Create reusable prompt patterns for multi-file inputs and long-context documents.
• Develop internal tools for prompt evaluation, testing, and performance monitoring.
• Test AI workflows for vulnerabilities, bias, and misuse risks while supporting AI safety, security, and governance.
