Job summary

Citi, a leading financial services company in Tampa, seeks an Agentic AI Engineering Lead to own enterprise rollouts of autonomous AI agents across the software delivery lifecycle. You will design a ground-up agent orchestration platform, set technical strategy, and lead engineers while aligning with product, security, risk, and platform teams.

You will work hands-on with frontier Generative AI technologies and ensure governance, auditability, and compliance across all agent paths.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading AI/ML or platform engineering teams in product-focused environments.
• Strong hands-on development experience in Python and/or Golang and delivered production-grade systems.
• Experience building agentic AI systems with multi-agent orchestration, planning, and tool use loops.
• Experience taking an AI platform from zero to enterprise scale with multi-tenant considerations.
• Deep knowledge of LLM engineering: prompt/context engineering, evaluation harnesses, guardrails, and cost management.
• Experience operating AI systems under governance: auditability, entitlements, and data protection.
• Proven capabilities with distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native infra.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build the enterprise agent orchestration platform from the ground up, including runtime and planning loops.
• Design multi-agent patterns with supervisory/worker hierarchies, task decomposition, and safe hand-offs.
• Build integration surfaces to operate on enterprise systems with least-privilege credentials.
• Define evaluation and observability layers with datasets, evals, and governance around prompts and models.
• Establish reusable agent patterns, SDKs, and templates for other teams to adopt safely.
