Job summary

Circana is seeking an AI Principal Engineer to design and lead the agent platform and a software factory where agents convert specs into tested, deployed software. You will mentor a team, set technical direction, and collaborate with business units to align platform capabilities with strategic goals.

The role requires deep production fluency across agent orchestration, cloud AI stacks, and enterprise integrations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering experience designing and owning a platform or shared system used by many teams.
• Experience building platform infrastructure end to end: runtime, deployment, identity, multi-tenant services, observability.

Responsibilities

• Design and build Circana's agent platform and the ecosystem around it: runtime, identity, tool registries, context and memory services, evaluation, observability, deployment.
• Lead a team of engineers building these systems: set technical direction, review the work, mentor, and raise the bar.
• Own harness engineering: context management, tool contracts, guardrails, tracing and replay.
• Establish evaluation as infrastructure: golden traces, regression suites, routing tests, release gates.
• Own shared patterns and conventions to speed up builds and enable platform capability across teams.
• Lead embedded engagements when needed and translate learnings into platform capabilities.
