Overview

Our Higher Ed team is seeking an Enterprise Account Manager to join our team in the Texas region. You will drive institutional-level adoptions of enterprise software and services, leading sales of Affordable Access solutions across higher education institutions within your territory. This role requires proficiency in delivering C-Level presentations to foster large-scale consultative selling opportunities. You will balance working independently, leading sales initiatives, and leveraging colleagues' expertise to advance strategic opportunities.

This position is remote and supports the Texas territory. A valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 50% of the year are required. Candidates must reside permanently within Houston or San Antonio.

What you will be doing:

  • Manage the sales pipeline, negotiate contracts, and close deals to meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Develop strategies to increase enterprise revenue within assigned accounts.
  • Identify and target potential educational institutions, districts, or corporate clients.
  • Collaborate with institutional leadership to understand strategic initiatives and identify opportunities for new services and revenue growth.
  • Present and demonstrate McGraw Hill Enterprise solutions, emphasizing their value in improving learning outcomes or operational efficiency.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and client needs.
  • Research new opportunities and emerging markets within education.
  • Track sales metrics, prepare business plans and reports, and update leadership regularly.
  • Use CRM tools to manage leads, opportunities, and interactions for predictable revenue.
  • Partner with the Enterprise Implementation and Customer Success teams for seamless operational and implementation excellence.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing and SDR teams to provide market feedback and insights to drive leads and pipeline growth.
  • Serve as the primary contact for executive and leadership staff at assigned accounts, ensuring prompt service and follow-up.
  • Work closely with Regional VP and Sales leadership to enhance efforts through collaboration.

Candidate requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 3+ years of demonstrated sales success, preferably within higher education or enterprise-level software/services.
  • Strong business acumen and professional maturity to handle innovative sales situations.
  • A valid driver's license and willingness to travel up to 50% within the territory.
