Job summary

A leading telecommunications company in Guam is seeking an Enterprise Account Coordinator Apprentice. The role involves providing customer service, engaging customers in the sales process, and attending classes to improve skills. Candidates must hold a High School Diploma, be US citizens or residents, and have lived in Guam for at least three years.

Qualifications

  • Must be a US citizen or resident alien.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be a resident of Guam for at least three consecutive years before entry into the program.
  • Must be a resident of Guam for a period not less than three (3) consecutive years before entry into the program.
  • Mayors Verification must be submitted upon hire.
  • Must be able to attend a minimum of two (2) classes per semester as identified by program coordinator, while working forty (40) hours per week with IT&E.

Responsibilities

  • Engage and educate customers during the sales process.
  • Process customer payments and support through billing system.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of industry technology and competitive offerings.
  • Possess the ability to accurately process customer payments and support through the company's billing system.
  • Ensure adherence to the sales processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Consistently maintains strong knowledge of latest industry technology, wireless products, services, competitive offerings, promotions, and advertising.
  • Perform follow-ups with customers via phone calls, email, etc.
  • Maintain various records on equipment and service. Prepare, maintain and or submit reports in conjunction with standards of performance or other related forms.
  • Perform other related duties or tasks as assigned or required.

Job description

The Enterprise Account Coordinator Apprentice will serve IT&E customers by providing product and service information and resolving product and service problems. Will also attract potential customers by answering product and service questions and suggesting information about other products and services. As an EAC Apprentice, this employee will be employed with the company while attending classes through the Department of Labors apprenticeship program to obtain the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to be applied to this position.

Responsibilities

The Employee will:

  • Know and uphold established IT&E Mission, policies and procedures, Department and Division objectives, quality assurance and safety programs and standards.
  • Meets and exceeds sales objectives and identified Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Use effective communication skills and product knowledge to properly engage, train, and educate the customer in the sales process, equipment, services, and value-added offerings.
  • Possess the ability to accurately process customer payments and support through the companys billing system.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The physical activity of this position includes crouching, standing, reaching, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, picking, pinching, typing or otherwise, primarily with fingers rather than with whole hand or arm, grasping, feeling, Talking, hearing, repetitive motions making substantial movements of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers.

The physical requirements of this position involve Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds if force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that of Sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.

For visual acuity requirements including color, depth perception, and field of vision, the worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines. Using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts as distances close to the eyes.

Working Conditions

The worker is subject to inside environmental conditions: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. This job operates in mainly in an office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. However, Activities occur both indoors and outdoors so the worker will be subject to both environmental conditions.

About IT&E

Formerly Micronesian Telecommunications Corp, IT&E was a part of Verizon International. CITADEL acquired IT&E in 2005 after successfully navigating the US CIFUS process and the Federal Communications Commission. In 2006, a partnership was established with Sumitomo Corporation, one of Japans largest trading houses, which invested in the company as part of its telecommunications push. The company acquired IT&E in Guam, and together, became the largest wireless provider in Micronesia. The entire company was renamed IT&E. IT&E was the first in the region to offer 3G services with the launch of CDMA EVDO in 2009. It soon followed with the launch of 4G LTE in 2011.
