Job summary

Captain James A. Lovell FHCC in North Chicago, Illinois, is seeking an Otolaryngologist to provide comprehensive ENT care in a busy surgical service.

The role includes non-operative and operative management, inpatient/outpatient consultations, and on-call coverage as assigned. Requirements include US citizenship, MD degree, full and unrestricted US license, and successful completion of an ACGME/AOA-approved residency with board eligibility.

Qualifications

• United States Citizenship is required; non-citizens may be appointed only as allowed by VA policy.
• MD or equivalent by accredited school (Allopathic/Osteopathic).
• Current, full, unrestricted medical license in US or DC.
• Residency completed in an approved core specialty leading to board eligibility.
• Board certification may be required for faculty status.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, admit, and treat patients with ENT diseases.
• Provide non-operative and operative ENT care within approved privileges at a Level 1C facility.
• Perform inpatient/outpatient consultations and follow-up care.
• Provide emergency and on-call ENT services as assigned.
• Educate and mentor medical students, interns, residents, and staff in the service.
