Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (RNFA) to manage inpatient consults, OR time and outpatient clinic care for Otolaryngology patients. You will lead clinical care, mentor staff, and collaborate across disciplines to elevate patient outcomes.

The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, safe prescribing, and participation in clinical research to advance PA/NP practice regionally and beyond.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate in NP program (NLN/AACN) or PA program accredited by AMA Council on Medical Education.
• Active NJ State PA licenses or NJ RN and APN Licenses.
• Board Certified by AANP or ANCC; RNFA cert, BLS; ACLS preferred.
• Active NPI, CDS, and DEA with prescriptive authority in New Jersey.
• Excellent communication skills and collaborative teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments, order/interpret diagnostics, and manage medical/surgical conditions for Otolaryngology patients.
• Lead inpatient consults and outpatient visits; coordinate care and interdisciplinary rounds.
• Prescribe medications safely; apply value-based medicine and integrate latest clinical innovations.
• Mentor APNs and students; advocate for patients and families.
• Engage in clinical research, peer review; advance HMH’s PA/NP practice locally and nationally.
