Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist in Lexington, NC, is seeking a Medical Assistant for the ENT outpatient clinic. The role supports adult and pediatric ENT services in a team-based environment, with standard hours from 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities include patient intake, lab tests, assisting physicians with procedures, administering routine medications, and coordinating referrals and tests.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program is required
• 1 year experience preferred

Responsabilités

• Prepare and room the patient for exam and document health information
• Perform laboratory procedures (e.g., strep tests, wound cultures)
• Assist physicians with procedures (e.g., pelvic exams, scratch testing)
• Administer routine medications under supervision and approved orders
• Coordinate tests, referrals, and follow-up appointments
• Maintain clear communication with the care team and patient
• Perform additional clinical support tasks as needed
• Provide age-appropriate care and support for patients across life span
