Job summary

Washington Adventist University is seeking a Student Support Specialist in the Enrollment department. The role collaborates with the Registrar Office and the Academy to optimize new student registration processes and supports transfer evaluations.

Primary duties include pre-registration, credit evaluation, and acting as a liaison between prospective students and university departments. A Bachelor’s or an Associate’s with experience and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution OR Associate’s degree with 3 years of work experience in sales, marketing, recruiting, or related activities.
• Experience in sales, recruiting or higher education is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to be insurable are required.
• Experience with educational technologies including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations is required.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Registration and Registration duties.
• Transfer Credit Evaluation and documentation review.
• Faculty liaison and cross-department collaboration.
• Respond to student inquiries regarding transfer evaluation and credits.
• Maintain knowledge of WAU programs, policies, and partnerships.
• Recruit and advise prospective students using the CRM and outreach methods.
• Schedule initial courses and assist with degree planning.
• Communicate professionally and manage data using appropriate software.
• Attend events outside regular hours as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
