Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College is seeking an Enrollment Specialist to guide newly admitted students from application through their first weeks of the semester. You will coach students on enrollment steps, course registration, and early engagement to promote first-semester success, while using FERPA-compliant processes and campus resources.

The role reports to the Director of Enrollment Services and requires an Associate degree, strong communication, and the ability to manage a caseload, maintain

Qualifications

• Associate degree required.
• Strong interpersonal and oral/written communication skills with students, staff and faculty.
• Strong administrative and computer skills.
• Ability to take initiative and exercise independent judgment in applying college policies.
• Flexibility to attend meetings or events outside normal working hours.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct targeted outreach to newly admitted students to coach them through enrollment steps and prepare them for the first weeks of classes.
• Manage a caseload to promote retention, persistence, and student success through proactive interactions and interventions.
• Maintain and monitor case notes in electronic student record systems.
• Assist students with assessment processes, including reviewing and applying assessment waivers.
• Advise students on degree programs, prerequisites, and course scheduling.
• Assist students in developing individualized Academic Completion Plans and maintain knowledge of college policies.
