Job summary

North Central Texas College seeks an Enrollment Guide to assist students, parents, and staff across Admissions, Financial Aid, Registration, and Student Affairs. You will respond via email, text, chat, phone, and in person to provide holistic guidance through the enrollment process.

You will help identify needs, coordinate with departments, and update student records while contributing to workshops, FAFSA events, and information sessions for campus communities.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or two-year technical certificate is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.

  • Knowledge of college policies, procedures, safety, and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with current and prospective students as front-line staff to assist with decisions and educational needs.
  • Coordinate with other departments to answer questions about Financial Aid, Registration, CTE Programs, Majors/Pathways, scholarships, and payment options.
  • Access and update student files including contact information, status, major changes, and current application status.
  • Outreach to Promise Program Counselors and students by hosting workshops and information sessions.
  • Receive and process documents and apply them to the correct accounts.
  • Build relationships with schools and school districts.
  • Determine residency for tuition status on a case-by-case basis.
  • Review SAT, ACT, previous coursework, TSI, and other docs to determine TSI status or exemptions.
  • Explain FAFSA steps and aid options to students.
  • Maintain and update student files across departments.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The Student Affairs Enrollment Guide will assist current and prospective students, parents, faculty, and staff in regards to all areas of enrollment affairs. The Student Affairs Enrollment Guide will answer questions in the areas of Admissions, Financial Aid, Registration, and Student Affairs questions from all levels of media, not limited to email, text, chat, phone, and in person. The Student Affairs Enrollment Guide will be expected to quickly and efficiently determine the needs and give holistic responses in regards to the enrollment process.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Effectively communicate with current and prospective students as front-line employees by helping with their decision making and educational needs.
  • Work directly with students’ other departments through different media platforms to answer questions regarding Financial Aid, Registration, CTE Programs, Majos/ Pathways, scholarship as well as payment options.
  • Access and update student files including their contact information, placement status, change of major, student file, current application status, and any additional requested information including but not limited to Admissions, Advising-including programs
  • Outreach and communicate regularly to Promise Program Counselors; Promise Program students, potential promise students, and their parents by hosting application workshops, FAFSA events and/ or information sessions.
  • Receive and process documents submitted by current and prospective students and apply them to the correct accounts.
  • Communicate and build relationships with schools and school districts
  • Appropriately process and document individual students’ residency documents on a case by case basis to determine proper tuition status
  • Receive and review SAT , ACT , previous coursework, TSI , and other supporting documentation to determine a students TSI status or possible exemption.
  • Demonstrate how to successfully complete a FAFSA application for students. Review and give proper information that informs students how to accept/decline aid.
  • Access and update student files including their contact information, placement status, change of major, student file, current application status, and any additional requested information including but not limited to Admissions, Advising-including programs offered, Financial Aid, Adult Continuing Education, scholarships, payment options.
  • Other duties as assigned. Responsibilities and duties can change based on the need of the department and the college.
Required Education

Associate’s degree or two-year technical certificate

1 year of experience in administrative support, customer services, or related field.

Preferred Experience

One year minimum experience in any of the areas of Admissions, Financial Aid, Registrar, Recruitment and/or Advising preferred
