Job summary

Mount Mary University in Wisconsin is seeking a Financial Aid Counselor to support enrollment and retention efforts. The role works closely with the Director of Financial Aid & Veterans Services to ensure efficient service delivery to students and families.

You will counsel students and parents on aid offers, help with verification and awarding, assist with audits, and participate in workshops, all while upholding Mount Mary's commitment to inclusive student success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree is required.
• Previous experience as a Financial Aid Administrator preferred.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; able to interact with prospective and current students.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Counsel students and parents regarding financial aid award offers, eligibility, and processes.
• Provide information on aggregate limits for Federal and State programs.
• Conduct financial aid workshops and presentations.
• Complete verification and awarding of financial aid to students.
• Manage Federal and Private Loan programs.
• Assist with annual audits as required.
• Process and award outside scholarship checks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
