Job summary

HHM Health seeks an Enrollment Coordinator/Front Office Assistant Float in Dallas to serve as the first contact for patients, handling enrollments and front desk responsibilities with a focus on service excellence.

You will manage scheduling, eligibility determination, and benefit explanations while coordinating across multiple Dallas locations to ensure seamless patient experiences.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year of related experience in a community clinic preferred.
  • Experience with Medicaid enrollment and benefits.
  • Bilingual in Spanish, Pashto, Burmese, Rohingya or other languages preferred.
  • Patient enrollment and front desk responsibilities experience.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule new and established patients in all locations and specialties.
  • Schedule new patient appointments and interview applicants or authorized representatives to gather information and determine eligibility for benefits.
  • Obtain, verify, and calculate income and resources to determine patients' financial eligibility.
  • Explain available benefit programs, rights and responsibilities and other agency services to applicants/recipients and the general public.
  • Work with a diverse patient population in Dallas.
  • Obtain and scan demographic, financial information, missing registration items, consents and other documents for registration and to determine program eligibility.
  • Explain and verify sliding fee discounts according to clinic protocol.
  • Verify insurance eligibility during enrollment process or prior to appointments.
  • Travel to other locations in the DFW Metroplex as needed.

The Enrollment Coordinator/Front Office Assistant Float serves as the first point of contact for patients and families, providing exceptional customer service in a healthcare environment. This role handles patient enrollments while staying up to date with front desk responsibilities.

What you need to succeed

To become one of our CARES-givers, you will have excellent patient engagement, strong communication skills and an eye for continuous improvement. You will also have the following:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least one (1) year of related experience, prior experience in a community-based clinic is preferred.
  • Prior experience with medical enrollment including Medicaid.
  • Experience with eClinicalWorks or similar and MS Office Suite skills
  • Bilingual in Spanish, Pashto, Burmese, Rohingya or any other languages, preferred.
  • Passion for providing service excellence
  • Have a servant heart with the desire to make a positive impact
