Job summary

Lone Star Circle of Care is seeking a Benefits Specialist in Round Rock, TX to assist individuals and families with health coverage enrollment through the Health Insurance Marketplace and other safety net programs. You will screen eligibility, educate clients on options, and guide them in selecting qualified plans while delivering face-to-face assistance across LSCC facilities.

You will use VeritySource and Athena to verify information, maintain documentation, and ensure accurate enrollments.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• Two years in program eligibility determination or related health/human services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides non-biased information regarding available coverage options and benefits.
• Fills out or helps to fill out appropriate applications.
• Verifies documents and information gathered telephonically for face-to-face appointments.
• Reports to the Patient Navigation Center and conducts program registration functions.
• Ensures accurate screening and enrollment for Health Insurance Marketplace, Medicaid, CHIP, and related programs.
• Identifies programs for which patients may be eligible.
• Maintains client documentation using VeritySource and Athena.
