Job summary

Alder is seeking a compassionate Enrichment Specialist for the Flourish Program in the Boston/Cambridge area. You will develop and facilitate social, educational, and recreational activities tailored to older adults, fostering social, emotional, and mental well-being.

The role requires strong communication, empathy, and a passion for inclusive programming, with responsibilities spanning outreach, one-on-one engagement, and collaboration with staff and volunteers.

Qualifications

• Experience working with older adults, professionally or through lived experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills for building relationships with older adults.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to design engaging activities for varied interests and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement social, educational, and recreational programs for older adults.
• Engage with older adults and families to encourage participation.
• Provide one-on-one engagement and companionship to seniors.
• Monitor progress and adjust activities based on feedback and needs.
• Collaborate with staff, caregivers, and volunteers to improve engagement.
• Maintain accurate records of engagement, preferences, and feedback.
