Job summary

Edina Public Schools is seeking an Enrichment Program Specialist to plan and lead after-school and summer childcare programs district-wide. The role focuses on enriching activities and events, guiding program staff and students, and ensuring high-quality experiences for diverse learners.

The position is full-time with a 40-hour week, located district-wide, with responsible supervision of staff and delivery of engaging activities for children.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in recreation, education, child development or related field.
  • Two (2) years of related work experience required.
  • CPR, First Aid, CPI, DHS Certification required upon hire or within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and lead program staff and students in enriching activities, programs and special events of before/after school and summer full-day childcare programs.
  • Coordinate with staff to ensure high-quality, safe, and engaging programming.
  • Collaborate with district staff to promote inclusive, developmentally appropriate programming.

Enrichment Program Specialist

Location: District Wide l| Status: Full Time 12 Month | Schedule: 40 Hours/Week (MF) 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Position Summary

With the focus to support and advance the Edina Public Schools' mission, vision and core values, the Enrichment Program Specialist is responsible for planning and leading program staff and students in enriching activities, programs, and special events of the before, after school, and summer full day school-aged childcare programs.

Education And Experience Requirements
  • Associate's degree in recreation, education, child development or a related field and at least two (2) years of related work experience.
  • The following certifications and training are required upon hire or within six months of employment: CPR, First Aid, and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI), DHS Certification.
Compensation And Benefits

Salary Range: The wage for this position ranges from $30.40 to $32.95 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. New hires will typically start at the entry-level rate within the wage range, while candidates with relevant experience may be placed at a higher starting rate. These decisions will be made on a case-by-case basis, in consideration of the individual's experience and the school district's budget.

All employees participate in the state's largest pension program, the Public Employees Retirement Association (PERA). In addition, employees can participate in the 403(b) retirement program, with eligibility for a district match based on the terms and conditions outlined in the employee work agreement. Eligible employees also receive paid time off in accordance with the provisions outlined in the employee work agreement.
