Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in TEFL or ENL instruction, education, or related field or Bachelor's in any field and ENL certification enrollment.
• 6 months experience working with a limited English population.
• Indiana ENL Professional Educator License OR Indiana Educator License with EL Endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Be onsite test administrator for WIDA.
• Compile ILP data to monitor ENL student progress.
• Select and monitor interventions for ENL Language Plans.
• Write lesson plans with ENL supports and accommodations.
• Support general education teachers with content-language integration under WIDA framework.
• Plan and execute monthly ENL parent meetings.
• Review and update ILPs yearly per EEOA requirements.
• Deliver instruction centered on the WIDA ELD framework and descriptors.
• Record grades in PowerSchool and maintain attendance records.
• Collaborate in weekly PLC meetings and data reviews.
• Create and administer weekly formative and summative assessments.
• Attend IDOE-required professional development for licensure.
• Design classroom management systems for student safety.
• Communicate with families about student progress and conferences.

Education

Bachelor's degree in TEFL or ENL instruction, education, or related field

Bachelor’s in any field and active enrollment in ENL certification program

6 months exp working with a limited English population

Indiana New Language (ENL) Professional Educator License

Indiana Professional Educator License with English Learner Endorsement
