Job summary

South Bend Community School Corp seeks an EL Instructional Specialist for Riley High School to support English Learners with direct ELD instruction, collaboration with bilingual staff, and data-driven instruction. Qualifications

• Two years of effective experience working with LEP students preferred.
• Knowledge of WIDA ELD Standards; understanding of ELD instructional practices and second language acquisition research.
• ENL License required or eligible for Emergency Permit consideration.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct ELD support 100% of the school day to EL students.
• Assists instructional staff in implementing ELD instruction with proven strategies and materials.
• Reviews student assessment data with Bilingual Services team to support English language development.
• Identifies materials and supplies to support instruction and professional development.
• Engages families in English language development opportunities and fosters school-family connections.
